BBE Jaguars Basketball

In a contest of unbeaten teams, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars Girls traveled to Minneota to take on the Vikings and dropped their first game of the season, 42-38.

The defensive battle included six lead changes and three ties with both teams leading by as many as 5 points during the 1st  Half which ended with the Vikings up by two, 21-20.  The 2nd Half was also a low-scoring affair with three ties and two lead changes, as well as two scoreless periods of two and two and a half minutes. The Jaguars trailed by 9 points with about five minutes to play but could get no closer than the final margin.  

The Vikings had two players in double digits, the game’s leading scorer Abby Hennan with 14 points and Natalee Rolbiecki with 13.  And the Jaguars also had two players in double figures, Allisa Knight and Abby Berge with 12 points each.

The next game for the BBE Jaguars Girls will be on Friday, February 26th, when they host Pine River-Backus in a game broadcast on 106.5 The Train with the Rambow Pre-game Show starting at 7:00 PM.

Our next game broadcast on 106.5 The Train will be on Monday, February 22nd when the NL-S Wildcats Boys travel to Dassel-Cokato with the Rambow Pre-game Show starting at 6:45 PM.
