Number 3 seed Medford swept their way into Friday's Class A Volleyball semi– finals at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul with a 25-22, 25-18 and 25-10 win over Belgrade – Brooten – Elrosa Thursday afternoon.

The first set was very competitive with both teams trading small leads until the Tigers gain the upper hand late. That surge seemed to carry over to the second set and the Tigers dominated the third set in taking the match 3-0.

Today’s loss snapped a 10 match winning streak for BBE which will take a 23 and 9 record into Friday afternoon’s consolation semi–final where they will face the Henning Hornets 24 and 8 at 3 PM. Henning lost in straight sets to Waterville – Elysian – Morristown Thursday afternoon.

In the top half of the Quarterfinal Bracket number one seed and defending State Champion, Minneota swept Greenway High School and will face number 5 seed Fosston which edged Mounds Park Academy the number 4 seed in a thrilling five set match.

Congratulation to the BBE Lady Jaguars on making their sixth and second straight State Volleyball Tournament appearance.
