(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Minnesota Vikings kick it off for real Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in the season opener in downtown Minneapolis.  Head coach Mike Zimmer says the team had a good week of practice and is excited to get in front of the fans at U-S Bank Stadium.  The Purple finished 8-7-and-1 in 2018 and looks to return to the playoffs in quarterback Kirk Cousins' second season in Minnesota.  The Falcons went 7-9 last year and missed the postseason for the first time in three years.  Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones is expected to play Sunday for Atlanta.  Vikings wide-out Stefon Diggs is listed as questionable with a sore hamstring and tight end Tyler Conklin is questionable due to a rib injury.
