In this COVID-19 shortened season, the NL-S Wildcats traveled to Minnewaska to take on the Lakers and came away with a win by a final score of 26-7 in their final game of the season.
New London got on the board first when Jack Novak scored on a 7-yard run. The Cats were not successful on the 2 point conversion and took the lead 6-0. The Lakers drive was stopped when Novak made a great interception. The Cats scored again on a 4-yard run by Connor Rothwell. But again the 2 point try failed to make the score 12-0 at half time.
The Lakers put up the only points in the third quarter on a 4-yard scramble by Tyson Meyer to make the score 12-7. The Cats took control in the fourth quarter as Jack Novak shined when he scored twice on a 7 and 16 yard resulting in the final score of 26-7.
