The Willmar Cardinal football team traveled to Apollo High School on Friday night to take on the Eagles and came away with a win by a final score of 16-3.

The second half was a different story as Ashton Gregory completed a 50 yard pass to Zach Morrell which set up a touch down run by Ethan Roux. Roux also made an interception and scored his second touch down later in the game.
The Cards rushed 41 times for 167 yards and Gregory passed for 135 yards completing 13 of 26 attempts for a total of 302 yards. Roux ran for 121 yards with 21 carries and 2 touch downs and Gregory added 45 yards with 16 carries. Morrell had 6 catches for 89 yards. Apollo ran for 10 yards on 21 attempts and passed for 158 yards completing 18 of 36 attempts.
