(Minneapolis, MN)  --  Preseason summer camp continues for the Minnesota Twins with newcomer Josh Donaldson homering in yesterday's intra-squad scrimmage.

Donaldson hit an opposite field homer and then went through a mock celebration around the bases and in the dugout.  Manager Rocco Baldelli says it was good to see him use all parts of the field with the homer and called it "vintage Donaldson."

Twins D-H Nelson Cruz says they are all feeling more comfortable as the days roll on, especially with everyone passing the last COVID-19 test, which he says relaxed a few people.  He says there are a few more smiles and things are enjoyable.  Today will be a "recovery" day with a lightened workload.  The plan is to bring some guys over from the taxi squad to hit against a few of the Major League pitchers, while the Major League hitters will likely do some quick off the field conditioning.  They will return to a fuller schedule on Saturday.
