(Santa Clara, CA)  --  The Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers battle today in northern California for a trip to the N-F-C championship game (Saturday 3:35 p-m).  The sixth-seeded Vikings advanced to the divisional round with a 23-20 overtime win at New Orleans.  The Niners earned a first-round bye and the N-F-C's top seed.  Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was listed as questionable with an ankle injury but is expected to play this afternoon at Levi's Stadium.  Minnesota linebackers Erick Kendricks and Anthony Barr will have their hands full trying to contain San Francisco's Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle.  The Vikings offense had success running the ball with Dalvin Cook and he will be a difficult matchup for the 49ers defense.  Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is making his playoff debut and will face pass rushers Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen.  The Vikes are a touchdown underdog just like last weekend to the Saints.
