(Eagan, MN) -- The Vikings declined to exercise the fifth-year option on cornerback Mike Hughes' contract, making him a free agent following the upcoming season. Hughes was selected 30th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, but has been plagued by injuries during his short career, missing games in each of his three seasons. He'll have competition in the secondary this summer with Pro-Bowler Patrick Peterson and the returning Mackensie Alexander signing deals this offseason.
