(Eagan, MN) -- Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen is safe following a concerning incident yesterday. Griffen was barricaded in his home for 14 hours after making posts on Instagram that claimed someone was in his home trying to kill him. In one of the posts, Griffen is brandishing a firearm that he claims he got from Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook. The Vikings said in a statement that they were notified by law enforcement Griffen came out of his home and is "getting the care he needs." Minnetrista Public Safety said in a news release Griffen called 911 early this morning saying someone was inside his house and he requested assistance. He said he fired a weapon, but nobody was hurt. The 33-year-old was the only Vikings player to miss practice yesterday, although Dalvin Tomlinson has been ruled out for Sunday's game at San Francisco due to COVID-19.
