(Willmar, MN)-- The Willmar Cardinal Boys Hockey Team entertained conference rival Fergus Falls Thursday night at Cardinal Arena. In a hard fought battle, the two teams skated to a 4-4 tie.

Fergus led Willmar 2-0 at the end of the 1st period but skated strong in period 2, making it a 3-3 game. Tanner Bauman found the net at 10:08, followed by goals from Isaiah Smith and Ashton Gregory late in the 2nd period.

The Cardinals B. DeKraai broke the tie with his first varsity goal at 6:01 in the 3rd period but Fergus answered with a goal of their own with 5 seconds left on the clock, sending the game into overtime at 4-4.
