The Willmar Cardinal football team took on the Becker Bulldogs on a blustery snowy Friday night at Hodapp Field but went down to the Bulldogs by a final score of 12-0.

Becker went into the locker room at half time leading 6-0 on a touchdown which was the result of a miscue by the Cards. The second half was a replay of the first half with Becker scoring 6 points while shutting out the Cards.

Due to the snow, 15-25 MPH winds and a soggy-slippery field both teams struggled to gain any yardage. Becker had a total of 191 yards. Isaac Koop ran for 90 yards on 19 carries. Willmar had 55 plays from scrimmage for 137 yards. Ashton Gregory completed 6 of 12 passes for 59 yards. Jacob Rosendahl caught 3 of those passes for 37 yards. Ethan Roux carried the ball 23 times for 49 yards. With the loss the Cards fall to 2-5.

Next up for the Cards is a home game against the Hutchinson Tigers on Wednesday night. You can hear that game on KWLM starting with the Rambow pregame show at 6:40 pm with Todd Bergeth and Coach Atchison on the call.
